Welcome to the Family: A Custom Baby Board Book

We find that giving a clear deadline and a specific "assignment" works best. Ask each family member to contribute one photo and one sentence. 

 Babies and toddlers are naturally drawn to action and play! Seeing a grandparent on a slide or a cousin playing with blocks is more engaging for a child than a formal headshot. It helps the baby connect with the "fun" side of their relatives from day one. 

 Absolutely. This book is the perfect way to "introduce" the baby to relatives they may not see every day. By the time they meet in person, the baby will already recognize their face and their "one-line" greeting from the book. 

 Because these are made of thick, rigid cardboard, we typically focus on the immediate family circle (Parents, Siblings, Grandparents, and Aunts/Uncles) to keep the book at a comfortable weight for a toddler to hold. This would be approximately 36 pages plus front and back covers. Each person uses 2 pages. One full page color photo and one page for their message (1-2 sentences).

The gathering process of both collecting photos and creating a personal message can take a while.  Most families find this project exciting and can provide their messages in 2 to 4 weeks. Finding a recent photo with child-like activity may require taking a photo.   

Once we meet in person and I have all your materials, the studio work begins. This includes: Professional Layout and proofing. This process can take about 2 weeks. Following approval, the digital layout and files are sent to production.  

Because these items are irreplaceable, we do not use mail services. We will arrange a time to meet in person in the Amery area so you can hand over your materials directly and securely and they will be returned in the same manner.
